“Miss America” was a creative shoot set to mimic a 1980’s beauty pageant.
I was granted creative liberty in garment design and construction based upon mood boards.
I weighed heavily on details as seen in 1980’s prom gowns while constructing this look, including a longline ruched bodice with velour texture, a drop waisted skirt with tiered bubble ruffles, and a contrasting silk belt which ties into a very large draping bow in the back.
