Hyper fixations are normal, right?

After reading The Great Gatsby for the... I don't know... hundredth time? I decided that my look for a wedding was going to be entirely inspired by something Daisy and I would both wear.

To achieve these goals, I used timeless elements popular in the 1920's like ostrich feathers, drapery, and pearls, and I color blocked with velvet and silk for dimension and richness. To tie into my personal style, I referenced an empire waist silhouette with a darker color scheme to hint at a feminine and grunge party look if styled in that direction. And both of which were popular looks in the early 90's (aka my favorite era in fashion). The delicate feminine details in a darker color scheme seemed to be a perfect compromise between her and I.
